Acupuncture
Acupuncture is based on the principle that all human beings are made up of bioenergetic systems. The energy of these systems is called qi (pronounced "chee"), and travels along meridian pathways to nourish and energize the entire being. If the flow of energy in any of these pathways is disrupted, the result will be pain, fatigue, or other illness. Acupuncture uses the gentle insertion of ultra fine needles at specific points along these system pathways to help the body restore optimal balance and harmony. Acupuncture has been proven to release endorphins, which relax the body, improve the mood, and play a vital role in reducing pain syndromes. |
